MNT Academy launches the first stage of its MicroNanotechnology Training website at the Pinnacle Live Showcase - 26.02.07
Pinnacle
Live was a series of promotional events that took place on Monday 26th
February 2007 at four separate locations, with the single aim of showcasing the
variety of high levels skills initiatives currently underway across Wales..
Supported by the Welsh Assembly Government's Knowledge Exploitation Fund and The European Social Fund, the Consortia for Industrial Training bring together the knowledge and expertise of Wales' Further and Higher Education Institutions, Sector Skills Councils and Industry in key areas such as Science, Engineering, Technology and Innovation Management.
A central media launch that took place in Cardiff was supported by three regional promotional and networking events, focusing on the following three key areas: Advanced Manufacturing (Technium Performance Engineering, Llanelli), Sustainability (Technium OpTIC, St. Asaph) and Innovation (Technium CAST, Bangor).
The Showcase highlighted the activities underway in sectors such as Micro and Nanotechnology, Print, Energy, Waste management, Digital Media, Sustainable Construction, Composites, Performance Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Textiles and other areas of strategic importance to the Welsh economy.
The events were brought together via a satellite link-up, and are accessible online via webcast.
